I would have to go with PS3.

I know 360 has some games people say they like the most, but beside that I think they are pretty equal. The only reason why I think people like 360 more is cause everyone has one. It has just become that much more popular over ps3 that since all their friends have it, why get a ps3? imo, I dislike the 360 exclusives like Halo and Gears. There aren't much ps3 exclusives I like either, but I'm more of a PC guy. If it were on the list I would definitely pick it over any system. I play more PC than I do RL :hehehe:. All I really play PS3 for is Rock Band and a little COD here and there. Otherwise it is all PC for me.

Wii isn't too bad either, but the games compared to 360 and ps3 are of a different class, so it's tough to put them in the same category. I would pick wii over any other system besides ps3 and 360. Some of the games are pretty fun and you gotta love playing some old classic nintendo64 games that are only a couple bucks at the wii store!

Being a PC gamer, Wii is the best console. You can't get their high quality games on any other console. You can't get Zelda TP, SM: Galaxy, Metroid, Smash Brothers, and all their other great titles on a PC. Pretty much all the games worth getting on Xbox and Ps3 are ported to the computer, most of which play better on the computer. I hardly can imagine playing an FPS on a console these days.

If you're not a PC gamer, you have to look at what the word better means. What makes a better console? I don't think it's graphics, number of games, controller, or online play or else it will all be perspective and opinion then. I think it's the console that pleases and satisfies the most people. Looking at it this way, the Wii wins again. It has sold over twice as many Ps3s and has 20 million over the Xbox (even after a one year headstart over the Wii).

-The Wii has the most versatile controller. The wiimote is the most scrutinized part of the ignorant people who rip on the Wii. You can plug in a GC or Classic controller into most games, there's a zapper, Wii Fit, nunchuck, and a shitload of others. It appeals to more people than having one simple controller.
-Wii's software appeals to more audiences. Xbox pretty much is exclusively FPS/gory targeted at hardcore players. Ps3 being basically the same as Xbox although slightly better. The Wii targets people of all ages ranging from kids playing Mario Party to Teens playing Zelda to Adults using Wii Fit
-The hard facts being the sale statistics show that Wii is selling the most software and hardware, naturally showing it appeals to more people.

Ragedgamers, being built on games that are considered "hardcore", will obviously put more votes towards Xbox since they're only looking at it from one perspective. I think the Wii is the best console as of right now because of the things stated above, but that doesn't mean it can't change. (Rooting for a Ps3 comeback.)

referring to above ^^ I bought the WII, was great. Only good games I ever got to play on it were Legend of Zelda and Resident Evil 4. The rest of the games they put out were a joke. I don't want to fucking bake cakes decorate a doll on WII. I remember getting pretty pissed at the game selection before I sold it for college books.

pc, but when ^this comes out i might change my mind, at e3 '09 it was too early to be shown and was buggy, the newer vids i see are sleek and well controlled, especially racing demos.

I have all three consoles and for the past couple months 95% of the time my Wii was played for parties playing Brawl and Mario Cart, my xbox is used for streaming netflix and watching TV on WMC, my PS3 being used to cure Parkinson's disease and watch Blu Rays and play Mirror's Edge and Final Fantasy.

As for which is "the best" for me it's "the best at what?"

my PS3 is best for graphics and watching Blu Rays and for playing older games like FFVII and some pretty wicked games. I also love it for the RemotePlay feature I can use with my PSP to access the system menu and stream media from my network to my psp screen via internet.

my 360 is best for it's media center capabilities to link up with my tuner card in my desktop and to stream netflix since the ps3 version of netflixs streaming needs work. I do hate that you have to pay to play online, PS3's free online play ROCKS!!! I also hate how most everyone I seem to go online with without making a group of my friends first is like under the age of 8 and acts like they are such bad asses while they be complete dipshits and get everyone killed in L4D2 and Borderlands. I have yet to find any good downloadable games to play on the 360 as I have on the PS3.

My Wii is the best for those old school games like Zelda, Mario games.. Okami, Smash Bros. Although it seems I find myself playing more often with my Wavebirds instead of the Wiimotes, the wiimotes are an awesome Idea but most of the games are too hard to play with them IMHO. the Wii is also by for the Easier console to hack so that you can play downloaded copies of the games for it and install a few other useful features that should have been with it already....

If it had to be just the three (standalone), the PS3 is an obvious choice if you know squat about the hardware/software capabilities. The price wasn't a gimmick, the PR and Design teams for Sony, were o_O
